M‘SHOWZEN’ ME THE TOZZI
KanDoKid’s Jim Tozzi Returns From MTV Series
NEW YORK CITY, March 8, 2005 – After
completing work on the new MTV Networks series "Wonder Showzen,"
KanDoKid Director Jim Tozzi is once again available for commercials.
Tozzi designed animated characters and puppets for the series, which
sports a kids show format but is skewed toward an adult audience.
The network will be hosting a screening party for the show in New
York City tonight, and the series debuts this Friday on MTV2.
Tozzi has directed numerous commercials, music videos, and short
film parodies. His clients include Miller Lite, Sprite, and Sony
Playstation. Tozzi’s notable and varied work includes a Mercury
Rev project featuring Ron Jeremy, an award-winning campaign for
Kelloggs Rice Krispies Treats with Leo Burnett, and a TV Land promo
campaign for Nick at Nite that developed into the award-winning
“Twip” series. Tozzi resides in New York City.
KanDoKid was founded in 2004 by Executive Producer Tony Harding
and Director Jeff Kennedy. The pair have produced commercial projects
for Coca-Cola, ESPN, Calvin Klein, Heineken, Ford, Saab, BMW, Showtime,
HBO, USA Networks, Kenner, Hasbro, Mattel, Parker Brothers, and
Mobil. On the music video front, Kennedy and Harding have worked
with artists such as Snoop Dogg, Tyra Banks, Lauryn Hill, Busta
Rhymes, and with record labels Atlantic, Elektra, Tommy Boy, Priority,
Epic, Warner Bros., Big Beat, Select, Island, Hidden Beach, Universal,
Sony, and more. KanDoKid’s long form work spans live concerts,
reality television projects, and image branding for Maybelline,
Calvin Klein, and Samsung.
